RCL Group are pleased to be working with the Queenstown Lakes Community Housing Trust (QLCHT) to provide 80 homes to the Affordable Rental and Rent Saver programs.
In addition to our standard Hanley’s Farm offering being one of the most affordable ways for potential home owners to get into the Queenstown property market, this initiative underscores RCL Group’s commitment to addressing housing affordability and ensuring that locals can continue to live and thrive in the Queenstown area.
The first stage of this project saw the completion of five beautiful 4-bedroom homes. These homes were allocated to QLCHT and occupied by mid-2023, marking a significant milestone in our affordable housing journey. Families are now settled in, enjoying the comfort and security of their new homes, while being part of a supportive and vibrant neighbourhood.
Construction is currently underway for the second stage of the development. This phase will bring 20 modern 2 and 3 bedroom homes to Hanley’s Farm, with the first of these expected to be ready for occupation in August 2024. These homes are designed with families in mind, offering spacious living areas, energy-efficient features, and access to all that Hanley’s Farm offers.
Over the next four years, the remaining homes will be completed in stages, gradually expanding the Hanley’s Farm community. Each stage provided by RCL Group will add more homes to the affordable housing scheme, ensuring a steady increase in the availability of affordable rental properties for those who need them most.

With just two stages left of its 1,700 sections, Hanley’s Farm is nearing completion. RCL Group will now turn their sights to their newest development, Homestead Bay, which will feature over 2,000 sections.
