Cones By The Lake is a small, mobile, family-run business that offers tasty real-fruit ice cream around Queenstown from their mobile food truck.

In 2022, the family noticed a gap in the market for Real Fruit Ice Creams in Queenstown, so Cones by the Lake was born to bring this classic Kiwi treat to the Queenstown locals and tourists to enjoy.

The small business aims to put a smile on all their customer’s faces, including our furry friends! Cones By The Lake reached out to Scoop Dog, a Dunedin-based dog ice cream business, to see if they could stock their product, making sure that no one, misses out on the treats! Cones by the Lake also stocks ready-made portions of Scoop Dog ice cream, so you and your dog can enjoy and ice-cream together.

Not only does Cones By The Lake want to see smiles on everyone’s (and their dog’s) faces each time they take that first lick of ice cream, but they also want to better the wider community. So, when you purchase a Cone By The Lake sticker, we give a portion of the proceeds to I Am Hope, NZ’s youth mental health charity.

The small, family-run business likes to involve themselves in the community as much as they can. In addition to donating to I Am Hope, Cones By The Lake participate in fundraising for their local school and are always thinking of ways they can bring awareness to important issues, such as mental health.

You can find Cones by the Lake at Hanley’s Farm on Friday afternoons and the Remarkables Market on Saturdays.
